Two Men Shot In Parked Car On Southeast Side
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men were shot Tuesday night as they sat in a parked vehicle on the Southeast Side.
The two men were parked near 106th Street and Green Bay Road about 8:30 p.m. when a light colored car pulled up and someone inside shouted gang slogans, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
Gunfire then erupted from the light-colored car, striking one of the men, 31, in the right thigh. The other man, 34, was shot in the abdomen.
The two then drove themselves to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where the 31-year-old man was still recovering early Wednesday, police said.
However, due to the severity of his injuries, the man who was shot in the abdomen was transferred in serious condition to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said.
No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigated.
