CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men were injured when shots rang out in the Englewood neighborhood Monday night.
Bullets struck a 27-year-old man in the knee and one of his fingers while he and another man were standing in the 5500 block of South Shields Avenue about 9:45 p.m., police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
The other man, who is 25, was grazed on the stomach when a bullet whizzed by him, police said.
Police said they were unsure how the shooting unfolded, though they noted a dark-colored vehicle was seen speeding away from the scene.
The 27-year-old man was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County for treatment.
The 25-year-old found his own way to University of Chicago Hospitals where he was in good condition.
