Two Men Accused Of Threatening To Blow Up Bank
BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. (AP) -- Two men have been charged with robbery in connection with a bomb threat at suburban Chicago bank.
Jon Adams of Orland Park and Mathias Padalino of Chicago are charged with financial institution robbery.
Orland Park police say they traced the men to a suitcase left outside a Chase bank last summer that contained a bomb threat.
A note inside the suitcase directed the bank's manager to put $4 million inside the suitcase and deliver it to Union Station in Chicago.
The note said that if the demands weren't met, several bombs near the bank and in the suitcase would be triggered.
No bomb was found.
Adams is being held on $75,000 bond, while Padalino is held on a $50,000 bond. They're in Cook County Jail pending a June 28 hearing.
