Two Killed In South Shore Crash
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two drivers are dead after a motorcycle crashed into a vehicle in the South Shore neighborhood late Friday.
A motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it T-boned a passenger vehicle about 11:30 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Dorchester Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
The man driving the motorcycle was dead at the scene, Gaines said. The man, thought to be in his 30s, remained unidentified early Saturday, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
The 52-year-old driver of the other vehicle was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he died at 12:32 a.m., authorities said.
He was identified as Andre McClure, of the 7500 block of South Cregier Avenue, the medical examiner's office said.
No other passengers were in the vehicle, Gaines said.
Area Central detectives and the police Major Accident Investigation Unit are investigating.
