Two Hurt In Eisenhower Crash
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two people were injured -- one seriously -- in a crash Monday morning on the Eisenhower Expressway.
The crash happened about 5:20 a.m. when a car went up an embankment on the westbound Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) and struck a tree near South Kostner Avenue, according to an Illinois State Police District Chicago trooper.
One person was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in serious condition, the trooper said.
The other person was taken in an unidentified condition to an area hospital, state police said.
All lanes remained closed as of 6:45 a.m., according to the trooper. Traffic was getting by on the left shoulder.
