Two Homes Damaged In Cicero Fire
CICERO, Ill. (STMW) - No one was injured, but two homes were seriously damaged in a fire Sunday night in west suburban Cicero.
The fire, which took place about 6:45 p.m., started in a 1 1/2 story brick home at 5231 W. 30th Pl., according to Cicero town spokesman Ray Hanania. The fire then spread next door to a 2 1/2 story wood frame home at 5229 W. 30th Pl., he said.
No residents of either home were injured in the fire, but "the two buildings were damaged pretty seriously," Hanania said. An elderly couple living in the home at 5229 W. 30th Pl. got assistance from the town in finding temporary housing.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, and Cicero fire investigators will be back at the scene Monday to continue their investigation, Hanania said.
