Two Dead In Shooting On Harlem Avenue Near Berwyn, Forest Park
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A fatal shooting in Forest Park shut down Harlem Avenue on Friday night.
Two bodies were in the street, covered by a white sheet during the Friday evening rush hour.
Police with Berwyn and Forest Park were investigating the shooting and had Harlem closed between Roosevelt to 16th Street.
The details surrounding the shooting are still not known.
However, police believe it was a murder-suicide.
Police say a vehicle was traveling south in the 1500 block of Harlem and was going slow when a female got out the passenger door followed by the male driver.
The male shot the female and then turned the gun on himself.
Forest Park has activated its major crimes task force to assist.
