Two Children Hurt In West Side Hit-And-Run
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are looking for a motorist who drove away after striking a boy and girl Tuesday afternoon on the West Side.
The vehicle hit a 6-year-old boy and 9-year-old girl about 1:30 p.m. near North Mayfield Avenue and West Le Moyne Street, police News Affairs Officer Daniel O'Brien said.
The children were taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The vehicle drove off and no one was is in custody Tuesday afternoon, police said.
A description of the vehicle was not immediately available.
