Two Charged With Oak Lawn Cellphone Robbery
(STMW) -- Two men have been charged with robbing someone's cellphone Wednesday morning in southwest suburban Oak Lawn.
Shaquan D. Lee, 21, faces two felony counts of robbery, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of cannabis. Bryant M. Smith, 19, was charged with three counts of robbery, according to Oak Lawn police.
Authorities responded at 11:09 a.m. to the robbery in the 6200 block of 95th Street, and the suspects drove away in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee, police said.
A short time later, police in Hickory Hills spotted the SUV and pulled it over.
Lee and Smith were arrested along with a juvenile who will be petitioned in juvenile court, police said. The men faced additional charges "as a result of previous incidents of a similar nature," police said.
Lee, of the 8600 block of South 86th Avenue in Justice, and Smith, of the 3600 block of Forest View Drive in Joliet, were ordered held on $30,000 bonds.
