Turco: 'I Play The Game To Win'
Marty Turco joined the Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks for their title defense for the 2010-2011 season and has seen a higher amount of shots then he expected and while laughing at the question said "no" when asked if it was expected. While he has a bit of a different style then what fans had seen from Antti Niemi and Cristobal Huet, Turco enjoys getting the puck out of the defensive zone and onto the tape of his forwards and does it about as well as anyone. "I like giving these guys the puck and taking every advantage we can get. I play the game to win and take every inch I can get." Marty says he's going to keep doing what he's doing with the puck until someone tells him otherwise, "I'm entertaining, I'll give you that."

Some goalies old and new are very superstitious with the way they go about things and Marty says he certainly goes about his business the same way on game day. "The things that I do daily help me get into that game mode that is ever important in pro sports and to use goalies." Marty will be in goal for his 8th game out of 11 team starts, Wednesday night, as the Hawks host the L.A. Kings at the United Center.
