The Daily Herald reports tuition costs had been frozen at $91 since the summer of 2007, making the college a hot ticket for people trying to polish up their credentials during the Great Recession.
At that time, ECC was one of the fastest-growing community college in the country.
The tuition increase will only affect students who live within the college district borders.
