Trying To Avoid The Jeff George Comparison
The Bears came out and ran the ball more against the Buffalo Bills than they had in every game this year with the exception for Carolina. That running game has sparked plenty of talk of continued running for the rest of the season. However, it has yet to be seen whether or not the running attack will be a continued trend or a single game plan.
Brad Biggs joined the Mully and Hanley Show today to talk about what a running game might do for Jay Cutler's career, and helping him avoid comparisons to Jeff George. And despite Cutler's desire to throw that ball every down, a running attack might serve him best.

"Well [Cutler] wants to chuck it and have it work every down. I don't think there's any question about that, and I think most quarterbacks would probably prefer that," Biggs said. "But at this point I think Cutler is probably smart enough to realize that he needs to figure out whatever is going to help the team best."
While Cutler has put up great numbers in the NFL, he has yet to lead a team to a winning season.
"Cutler desperately needs a winning season as a quarterback in the National Football League," Biggs said. "Otherwise, we've talked about it before, the whispers of Jay Cutler and Jeff George in the same sentence are going to become chants. And that's the last things that [Cutler] wants."
"I think he's smart enough to realize that he needs to be on board with anything that's going to make this team successful."
