Truck Noise Complaint Leads To Cocaine Charge
ELGIN (STMW) -- A man revving his pickup truck's engine in his own driveway was arrested Wednesday in northwest suburban Elgin after a neighbor complained about the noise, and responding police found cocaine in the truck's cup rest.
The officers, who responded to the home about 11 p.m. Wednesday, reported they also found a second bag of cocaine in the pants pocket of Armando Martinez Jr., 43, of the 1000 block of Bellevue Avenue.
He was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance.
He told investigators he had bought the cocaine Wednesday evening at an Elgin tavern.
