Trestman Hopeful That Briggs, Fuller Will Play Sunday
(CBS) Bears coach Marc Trestman is hopeful that linebacker Lance Briggs and cornerback Kyle Fuller will be healthy enough to play Sunday night against the Packers.
Briggs hasn't played since Oct. 5 at Carolina as he's dealt with a rib injury. Fuller suffered a broken hand and a hip pointer in on Oct. 19 against the Dolphins. Fuller gave it a go against the Patriots on Oct. 26 but had to leave the game early.
The Bears could use both of them, as the Packers are averaging 27.8 points per game, sixth-best in the NFL. Green Bay defeated Chicago, 38-17, on Sept. 28, never punting once.
"It will be the process of working through the week," Trestman said in an interview with WBBM Newsradio on Monday morning. "Hopefully we'll see some movement in that direction."
Trestman added the Bears are still considering how to best align their offensive line with left guard Matt Slauson out for the season with a torn pectoral. Michael Ola has been the go-to sub in playing guard and tackle for the Bears this season, but Trestman has also previously indicated right tackle Jordan Mills could move to guard after struggling on the outside.
