Trestman: Haven't Put Together A Full 60 Minutes
(CBS) The Bears have looked good in spurts, and they've looked bad in spurts in their first five games under new head coach Marc Trestman.
After racing out to a 3-0 start, the Bears have now lost two straight game after their loss to the Saints on Sunday.
"We have no excuses," Trestman told WBBM Newsradio's Josh Liss. "We gotta keep moving forward. I think our guys see the light, they see the signs. We just gotta put 60 minutes together. We haven't done that yet, even though we've won three games. We've made them all difficult wins. All wins are good wins in the National Football League, no doubt about it, but we could've played better yesterday.
"I think it got away from us in the beginning and we couldn't recover. It had a residual effect on our defense. I think overall we had a very poor start - very disappointing start to the game. We couldn't get it going."

Unfortunately for the Bears, they'll have little time to lick their wounds after facing Drew Brees and the high-powered Saints. The Bears now must operate on a short week as they face the 0-5 Giants on Thursday night.
"You've got to move forward immediately from whatever happened the day before," Trestman said. "Our guys have to get invested in the Giants right now. We've gotta move forward. Gotta have all eyes on Eli Manning and company right now. They're going to come in and they're going to be desperate to win a game. We've got to get after it."
