Traffic Aide Injured During Wrigleyville Hit-And-Run
CHICAGO (STMW) - A woman directing traffic was hit by a vehicle that reportedly fled the scene in the Wrigleyville neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
Paramedics responded at 3:17 p.m. to the intersection of Clark Street and Patterson Avenue for a traffic aid who was hit by a vehicle, according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Joe Roccasalva.
The woman was taken to Thorek Memorial Hospital in good condition, according to Roccasalva.
She works for the city's Office of Emergency Management and Communication, according to Roccasalva. A spokesman for OEMC was not immediately available.
Unconfirmed dispatch reports indicate a white Nissan pickup truck fled the scene after striking the woman.
