Tracking Device Leads Police To Electronics Store Robbers
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Three Chicago men accused of robbing a northwest suburban Des Plaines electronics store were ordered held on $250,000 bail Sunday, the Sun-Times reports.
Tommie L. Parker, 23, of the 7200 South Wood, Ronaldo C. Crawford, 31, and Antoine Adams, 38, both of the 8700 block of South Bishop, each face a charge of armed robbery.
Prosecutors said Crawford drove Adams and Parker to a Radio Shack at 1587 S. Lee St. in Des Plaines about 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Crawford parked in an alley while Adams and Parker went in the store with Glock-style pellet guns, authorities said.
They took four bags full of personal electronics worth more than $32,000, as well as $581 in cash, authorities said.
Police arrested them after a tracking device in one of the items they stole gave away their location, authorities said.
