Tow Trucks Targeted By Robbers In Michael Myers Masks
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are warning residents of the Englewood neighborhood to be aware of masked robbers targeting tow truck drivers.
As WBBM Newsradio's Mike Krauser reports, the tow truck drivers surely thought it was some kind of a joke when they saw men wearing Michael Myers masks. This is not Mike Myers, the Canadian comedian of "Wayne's World" and "Austin Powers" fame, but Michael Myers, the fictional villain from John Carpenter's "Halloween" movies.

And the joke might have turned to real horror when the shotguns came out.
The robberies have happened twice in the past month in the Englewood neighborhood. Tow trucks were called to the 6700 and 6900 blocks of South Justine Street in the middle of the day, and the drivers were robbed by gun-wielding men wearing "Halloween" masks.
The first robbery happened on Nov. 22 at 10:30 a.m., the second this past Monday at 12:30 p.m.
Wentworth Area police detectives issued an alert Wednesday morning about the robberies.
Detectives describe the robbers as two African-American men between the ages of 17 and 25, standing 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 150 to 200 pounds. The robbers have dark complexions and short black hair, and were wearing black hooded sweatshirts and blue denim jeans.
