Ordinance Would Yank Possibly Concussed Students
CHICAGO (WBBM) - Key Chicago aldermen want to require schools to pull student athletes off the field if they show signs of possible concussion.

Finance Committee chairman Edward Burke and Latasha Thomas, who chairs the Council Education Committee, say a student should be pulled off the playing field if they lose consciousness, or show signs of dizziness, disorientation, headaches, fatigue, blurred vision or problems with balance.
The penalty for violating the proposed ordinance is to end free water and sewer service for the schools, so the idea is the bring pressure on the schools.
