Toews To Sit Against Red Wings
(CBS) Jonathan Toews will miss tonight's game against the Detroit Red Wings because of an upper-body injury, head coach Joel Quenneville said.
The injury is not related to the wrist injury he suffered earlier this season.
Brendan Morrison will play in place of Toews and skated with Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp on the first line in Tuesday's morning skate.
The center won't be the only star not playing tonight as Detroit's Pavel Datsyuk will miss two weeks with knee surgery.
Toews is officially listed as day-to-day.
Meanwhile, Niklas Hjalmarsson practiced with the Blackhawks this morning, but said he will not play tonight either.
