Toews Skates For First Time Since Injury
(CBS) For the first time since Feb. 19, Jonathan Toews took the ice before the Blackhawks practice today.
Toews has missed eight consecutive with an upper-body injury that The Score reported is a concussion.
"He had a good skate," coach Joel Quenneville told the Chicago Tribune."He felt good. It's very exciting for us to see him back out here. He's encouraged as well. It was a really good day. It's a big first step seeing him out here. We'll see how he's progressing but it was nice to see him."
Quenneville said he's still unsure when the Hawks captain will return to action.
"Off of that (skate) we'll certainly get a (better) idea that maybe it's closer," he said.
