Toews Named NHL Third Star Of The Week
(CBS) Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews was named the NHL's Third Star of the Week Monday after scoring foul goals and recording two assists in four games last week.
Toews scored two goals and tallied an assist in a 6-3 win over Columbus Nov. 10. He followed that up with an assist in a 4-1 win over Calgary Nov. 11 and finished his week with two goals in a 6-3 win over Edmonton Sunday night.
Toews now leads the Blackhawks with nine goals and is fourth on the team in points with 15.
Boston Bruins center Tyler Seguin was named the NHL's First Star, while Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard was named the league's Second Star.
The Blackhawks have the best record in the NHL at 11-4-3.
