Toews And Sedin Battling For MVP Award
The MVP of the National Hockey League is awarded the Hart Memorial Trophy, and this year the battle for the trophy may come down to two familiar faces for Chicago Blackhawks fans.
The Blackhawks' Jonathan Toews and the Canucks' Daniel Sedin could not only be facing off in the playoffs, but also in the race for the Hart Trophy.
"This is the reason it might go to Sedin," former Blackhawk and current analyst Steve Konroyd said on the Danny Mac Show. "He's been doing it all year long. Although Jonathan Toews has been unbelievable since the New Year, the first couple of months he was struggling a little bit. Maybe it's just because his line-mates weren't on the same page, or maybe they were having their own problems. But he was kind of quite over October, November of this [season] and started to warm up in December and certainly in January turned it on.

"I think the league, when they look at an award like that, the Hart Trophy, they will look at the body of work, and typically that's over 82 games. I think when it comes to that, that's where Sedin might have it, he's been lights out since the beginning."
