Titus Young Reportedly Said He's Better Than Calvin Johnson
(CBS) Former Lions receiver Titus Young may want to seek professional help.
According to a report, before his release this week, the Lions felt the same. The team had reportedly pleaded with Young to see a therapist after showing erratic behavior multiple times, but the wide receiver refused.
Now, in an interview the Detroit Free Press, Young's high school coach E.C. Robinson said Young came to him two weeks ago with some interesting thoughts.
"He did tell me he thought he was just as good Megatron," Robinson said. "I said, 'Titus, come on.' I said, 'Come on, man. Who you talking to?' I said, 'Come on, you're as good as that guy? This guy is the real deal.' And he really believes this. And he was sincere about it. 'Ah man, I'm better than him.' I said, 'No you're not. Be real man. Come on.' So I don't know, I'm hoping for the best for him."
Young was claimed Tuesday by the Rams, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora.
