Tinley Park Man Dies After Crashing Into Fence
FRANKFORT, Ill. (STMW) -- A man died Sunday afternoon when he suffered an apparent heart attack and crashed his vehicle in southwest suburban Frankfort.
Warren Petrie, 66, suffered an apparent heart attack and crashed into a fence near 80th Avenue and Barbara Lane about 2:20 p.m., Frankfort fire department Battalion Chief Todd Hamm said.
Petrie, of the 18200 block of Pheasant Drive in Tinley Park, died at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields at 3:12 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
He suffered from an apparent heart attack or "medical emergency," Petrie said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Frankfort police are investigating.
