Tim Doyle On Altercation With Kendall Gill: 'Something That Was Really Unfortunate'
(WSCR) Three days after an altercation with Kendall Gill turned physical after a taping of CSN's "Sports Talk Live," Big Ten college basketball analyst Tim Doyle joined The McNeil and Spiegel Show to discuss the incident.
Though Doyle was mum on the details of the altercation, the former Northwestern star called the incident "unfortunate" and said he hopes it "just kind of goes away."
During Monday's "Sports Talk Live," Gill apparently became upset over critical comments Doyle made about his analysis of the previous night's Bulls game. After the show's taping, the two continued to argue, and eventually, Gill threw a punch a Doyle, drawing blood.
"For that to happen after a show is just something that I wish to never think about again," Doyle told The McNeil and Spiegel Show.

"The business that we are in, sometimes we have to be hard on people or give our opinions," Doyle explained. "That is what we did. As far as what went on, at first, it was wild. Then it became something I just want to forget about and move forward. … The last 48 hours have been nuts, and that's it. It's something that's going to be over."
Gill has been suspended by Comcast Sportsnet Chicago, where he works as an analyst for Bulls games, while an investigation takes place. Doyle, however, has continued working for the Big Ten Network during the NCAA Tournament.
