Tillman: Strength Rests In Defense As A Whole
(WSCR) Charles Tillman may be having a Pro Bowl-caliber season, but the veteran cornerback knows the strength of this Bears defense is in the unit as a whole.
"You can take a guy at every position and he is a star. He can make plays," Tillman told The Score's Laurence Holmes." It changes every week. The first couple weeks, Tim Jennings, he was making plays, I've made a couple. (Julius Peppers) has made a couple. Henry (Melton) has made a couple. Corey Wooten, shocked a lot of people, he's made a couple. The star of the defense is the defense."
This season, Tillman has 20 tackles, one forced fumble and two interceptions - both of which were returned for touchdowns. He was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week after his performance in the Bears' win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
