Tillman On Not Playing In Super Bowl: 'It's Killing Me'
(WSCR) As a finalist for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, Bears cornerback Charles Tillman is spending the weekend in Indianapolis preparing for the unveiling of the winner.
Tillman, however, said it's been tough being around the Super Bowl festivities knowing that he's not playing on Sunday.
"It's killing me," Tillman said. "It's killing me being here because I want to play in the Super Bowl so bad. I don't want to be the spectator."

Still, Tillman is grateful to be named a finalist for the prestigious award.
"It's a humbling experience," he said. "In my eyes, getting this far, I've already won. I think all three of us have already one. It's kind of hard to say, 'This guy does more, so he gets this award.' I think any player in his organization or charity deserves the honor. I don't feel like it's fair if I say, 'This guy gets one because he did more.' I think we all did it because we want to and we love it and it's a passion. We get self-fulfillment from it. To me, that's good enough."
