Tice Sets Bears' Starting O-Line
(CBS) There's still over a month until the Bears open their season against the Atlanta Falcons, but Bears offensive line coach knows who he wants to start in front of Jay Cutler Sept. 11 at Solider Field.
Tice announced his starting five offensive lineman Sunday night: LT J'Marcus Webb, LG Chris Williams, C Roberto Garza, RG Lance Louis and RT Gabe Carimi.
"I have five guys in there starting," Tice said after Sunday evening's practice in Bourbonnais, Ill. "Unless they falter, that's who's opening the season against Atlanta."
Noticeably missing among the starters is Chris Spencer, who the Bears signed to a two-year, $6 million deal. He's likely the sixth offensive lineman right now and with so much time until the opener, there's still a chance he could move into the starting five, either at center or guard.
