Three Rob Bank In South Suburban Lansing
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Three people robbed a south suburban bank branch on Thursday, leaving two bank employees injured, police said.
According to witnesses, three male, black individuals entered US Bank branch located at 17150 South Torrence Ave., in Lansing around 1:00 p.m. and announced a robbery.
At least one of the three was armed with a handgun and went over the teller counter to confront bank employees.
During the course of the robbery, there were reports of injuries to two bank employees.
Lansing Police and EMS personnel also responded to the scene.
The extent of the employees' injuries were not disclosed.
The robbers all wore hooded sweatshirts and covered their lower faces with bandanas or scarves.
They were described as being 5'7" to 5'8" tall.
