2 Men Stabbed, 2 Women Battered In NW Side Fight

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men were stabbed and two women were beaten up during a fight early Sunday in the Northwest Side Hermosa neighborhood.
A woman flagged down police officers and said people had been stabbed during a large fight in the 2200 block of North Kostner Avenue at 12:25 a.m., police News Affairs Darryl Baety said.
A 36-year-old man was bleeding from his side when he approached the officers and said he'd been stabbed, Baety said. A 41-year-old man, stabbed in the leg, shoulder, and with lacerations on his face, said the same person stabbed him.
Two women, ages 19 and 21, had been battered and suffered bruises, Baety said.
Both men were taken in fair condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Baety said.
The attackers ran into a nearby apartment where police found them, Baety said.
Miguel A. Garcia, 41, of the 2200 block of North Kostner, and Julio Marres, 24 of the 3100 block of North Lawndale Avenue, were charged with misdemeanor battery, Baety said.
A 23-year-old woman, Adilene Santos, of the 4400 block of North Hamilton Avenue, was charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery, Baety said.
Jessica Santillanes, 27, of the 2200 block of North Kostner Avenue, was charged with misdemeanor obstructing a police investigation and resisting arrest although she was not a part of the fight.
The attackers were released on their own recognizance are scheduled to appear in court in October.
