Three Kayakers Rescued From Lake Michigan
CHICAGO (STMW) - Emergency crews rescued three kayakers from Lake Michigan early Saturday near Diversey Harbor on the North Side.
Police responded to a marine distress call about 1 a.m. in the water off the 2700 block of North Lake Shore Drive and were able to pull three kayakers from the lake, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
None were injured, Gaines said, though their ages and genders were not immediately known.
A fourth kayaker was missing early Saturday, but as of Saturday morning police said all four were accounted for.
It appears that kayaker made it back to shore unaided, police said.
