Three Hospitalized For Carbon Monoxide Exposure On Boat
CHICAGO (STMW) - Three people were hospitalized Saturday afternoon for exposure to carbon monoxide aboard a boat in the Chicago River in the South Loop.
At 4:09 p.m., crews received a call that people aboard a boat were feeling ill, said Fire Media Affairs spokesman Joseph Roccasalva.
The boat -- a speedboat called "Anything is Possible," according to unconfirmed dispatch reports -- had docked near River City at 900 S. Wells St., Roccasalva said.
Three people were transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with high levels of carbon monoxide, all in "stable" condition, he said. One patient refused treatment.
