Three Charged With Armed Robbery In Humboldt Park
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two roommates and a woman were apprehend by police after they allegedly forced a man who sells medical supplies into his home at gunpoint and robbed him in the Humboldt Park neighborhood late Thursday.
Rodney Miller, 44, John Dailey 44, and 20-year-old Tiana Cox were charged with one count each of armed robbery and were expected in court Saturday after the incident, which occurred late Thursday near the intersection of West Augusta Boulevard and North Central Park Avenue, according to police.
The three, one of whom works for the victim who sells medical supplies, are accused of confronting him outside his home and then forcing him back inside at gunpoint, police said. They then made off with cash, cell phones and a laptop but were apprehended a few hours later, early Friday, at an unidentified address on the Southwest Side.
The man they attacked was not injured, police said.
Miller and Dailey live together in the 4500 block of South Lavergne and Cox is of the 4600 block of South Lacrosse Avenue, police said.
Bond has been set at $350,000 for Miller, $325,000 for Dailey, and $275,000 for Cox, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office. All three are next scheduled to appear in court on June10 at Branch 44, at 3150 W. Flournoy St.
