Updated 03/03/12 - 7:04 p.m.
CHICAGO (STMW) - Two men accused of murdering a man in February in the Little Village neighborhood were ordered held on $2 million bond Saturday.
Police identified the men as Luis Valdez, 20, of the 3000 block of West 53rd Street, and Ray Guereca, 21, of the 2600 block of South Sacramento Avenue. A 16-year-old girl was also charged with one count of first-degree murder, police said.
On Saturday, a judge ordered Valdez and Guereca held on $2 million bond, according to the Cook County Sheriff's office. Bond for the girl, who was charged as a juvenile, was not immediately available.
The three are accused of fatally shooting Raymond Jerz. Jr. Feb. 11 on the Southwest Side.
The victim, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's office as Jerz, was shot about 3:35 a.m. that morning in the 2300 block of South Albany Avenue, police said.
Sources said a group of people got out of a minivan and what may have been a gang fight ensued, during which time Jerz, who was in his late-teens or early-20s, was shot. The attack might have been a robbery.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office said Jerz died from multiple gunshot wounds and the death was ruled a homicide.
Valdez and Guereca will appear in Violence Court (Br. 66) on Tuesday.
