The were each charged with one count of murder, one count of attempted murder, one count of armed robbery, one count of home invasion and three counts of unlawful restraint.

According to the statement, Sean and Davonta Williams went into the home about 8:40 a.m, took Vasquez and his mother into the basement and bound them with duct tape and demanded money. They then ransacked the home before shooting them in the head. Vasquez's sister was also in the home but was not injured, police said.

Vasquez and his mother were initially taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said. He was pronounced dead at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center at 12:31 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said. His mother remains in critical condition, according to police.

The suspects and a getaway car driver were taken into custody not far away by responding officers, police said. Vojinovic was allegedly driving the vehicle, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

Two handguns were recovered on the scene, police said.

A witness had provided with license plate information and they quickly pulled over the vehicle, the statement said.

The motive for the home invasion and shootings was not yet known, and Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.

Vasquez was a student at Schurz High school, 3601 North Milwaukee Avenue, according to Chicago Public Schools spokeswoman Marielle Sainvilus.

The home was located across the street from Saint Wenceslaus school.
