Three Art Institute Works Top List For Public Art Project
(CBS) -- The voting is over and the results in, for a unique, new public art project in Chicago and across the country, reports WBBM's Regine Schlesinger.
The public was given a chance to weigh in on which works of American art they want to see installed on bus shelters, subway platforms, billboards and thousands of other places this summer. The top three are all works from Chicago's Art Institute.

The most votes went to Edward Hopper's Nighthawks, followed by Mary Cassatt's The Child's Bath and in third place, American Gothic by Grant Wood. Starting on August 4, those three and 55 other pieces will be reproduced and projected in public spaces across the country as part of a project called ArtEverywhere.
