Three Arrested For Throwing Drinks At Taco Bell Worker
BUFFAO GROVE, Ill. (STMW) -- The case of The Taco Bell tossers, who returned to the scene of the crime, will come before a Cook County judge next week, Pioneer Press is reporting.
According to a police report, the drive-through workers at the Taco Bell at 50 W. Dundee Rd. in Buffalo Grove took an order at 1:23 a.m. on May 27 from a group of three young adults in a red four-door sedan.
When the group received their orders, "they threw the drinks at the employees and drove away," police said.
The driver of the next car in the drive-through witnessed the incident, and took note of the car's license plate, police said. The employees also called police, but the vehicle got away.
The car reportedly returned to the Taco Bell at 2:05 a.m., however, and the employees called police again.
After speaking with the occupants, officers made three arrests.
The driver, Martin Gutierrez, 18, of 412 Gregg Lane in Buffalo Grove, told officers he had "one beer at a friend's house," but police reported his blood-alcohol content to be .159, nearly twice the legal limit.
Also arrested were Amanda Louise Ramsey, 20, of 2415 N. Lafayette St. in Arlington Heights; and Haile N. Alvarez, 18, of 10 Oak Creek in Buffalo Grove. They were charged with being minors in possession of alcohol. They share a court appointment June 14 in Mundelein.
