Three Arrested After Elgin Heroin Raid
ELGIN, Ill. (STMW) -- Three Elgin residents who allegedly sold heroin to undercover officers in the past two months were arrested on felony drug charges after a late-night raid on a house on the near west side.
Police claim Rinnell Mallory either sold to undercover officers or arranged for the women to sell heroin to the officers on seven occasions since July 11.
The two women also allegedly sold the heroin to police officers in a laundromat parking lot on South State Street (Route 31), police said..
Mallory was arrested after allegedly selling drugs to officers again on Tuesday, police said.
Officers then executed a search warrant on the home where the three lived in the 500 block of Van Street, where police allegedly found several guns — two semi-automatic handguns and a revolver — and 79 Ecstasy pills.
Mallory, 42, was charged with five Class X felony counts of manufacture or delivery of heroin, a Class 1 and Class 2 felony count of manufactured or delivery of a schedule II narcotic, and a Class 2 felony charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Lisa L. Sardin-Spencer, 48, was charged with two Class X felony counts of manufacture or delivery of heroin, and two Class 1 felony counts of the same.
Lakara D. Spencer, 19, was charged with one Class X felony count of manufacture or delivery of heroin, and one Class 1 felony count of the same.
Bond was set at $200,000 for Sardin-Spencer, $150,000 for Spencer and $500,000 for Mallory.
