This Winter Continues To Be One Of Chicago's Least Snowy On Record
CHICAGO (STMW) - With the snowfall for the season not expected to exceed two inches by next week, this winter, which has already gotten off to a remarkably slow start with regards to snowfall, is shaping up to be one of the least snowy on record for the Chicago area.
The chance of measurable snowfall through Tuesday, January 10 is according to the National Weather Service, essentially zero, so by then, the seasonal snowfall for Chicago will be 1.9-inches, making it the 4th least snowy start to winter through January 10.
The only winters in Chicago that will have started off with less snowfall through January 10 are 1889-1890 (1.3 inches), 1936-37 (1.4 inches), and 2001-02 (1.7 inches).
