Thinking Outside The Box
Just one day after having Tracy McGrady in for a workout the Bulls are already considering other options to fill out their roster. They are still looking for a shooting guard who can fill it up from outside. One such person who may be available is Rudy Fernandez.
The Portland Trailblazers have long dangled Fernandez around the league and the Bulls have contacted them. The word is that the Bulls have offered James Johnson but the salaries don't exactly match so more would have to go to Portland to make a deal. The Trailblazers are also in contact with other teams concerning Fernandez so this is far from a sure thing.
Gar Foreman and John Paxson are also considering bringing in Roger Mason Jr. and Keith Bogans for tryouts. One guy who won't be that 12th man is Janero Pargo who was with the Bulls last season but who signed with Golden State on Tuesday.
