Thibodeau Named Eastern Conference Coach Of The Month
Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau has been named the Eastern Conference Coach of the Month, for the month of March.
The Bulls had the best record in the conference, 13-3, in March as well as surpassing the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics to take over first place. Other highlights included back-to-back wins over the Orlando Magic and the Heat.
Thibodeau has lead the Bulls to their first division title since the 1997-98 season, when they also won the NBA title.
The coach who lead that '97-98 team and the other five championship teams, Phil Jackson, was named the Western Conference Coach of the Month. Jackson and the Lakers had a 12-1 record in the month of March.
