The Lodge Marks 54 Years On Division Street
CHICAGO (WBBM) -- For 54 years, The Lodge on Division has been a staple of the night life in the Gold Coast.
Before the birth of singles bars and disco clubs, The Lodge was the place to go for live music.
Co-owner Jim Borchers says the 900-square-foot bar has remained virtually unchanged over the years.

"We still have our old jukebox. It's still the old wood and the peanut shells on the ground," Borchers said.
Borchers says coming to the Lodge has become a tradition for many families.
"I see generations come in. I see kids of regulars that used to come in since I've been here."
To commemorate the anniversary, Borchers offered 1957 prices at the bar last night, 75-cent beers and $2 cocktails.
The Lodge also has the distinction of being one of cbschicago.com's top "Cougar Caves."
