CHICAGO (CBS) -- Tuesday morning's temperatures were the coldest for December in nearly 20 years, and it may get even a bit colder on Wednesday night, with temps again dipping below zero.
But it doesn't come close to the coldest days ever in Chicago.
The coldest day ever happened nearly 30 years ago on Jan. 20, 1985.
It was 27 degrees below zero that day.
The coldest December day ever was Christmas Eve in 1983, when the temps dropped to 25 below.
