The Best Of Navy Pier
Here are some of the best things about one of our hometown favorites, Navy Pier. Best part of all, while some attractions do cost money, there is no admission to the pier itself!

Performances
From May through October the Bud Light Stage has the best local bands perform at shows that are free to the public. All music styles are covered from Pop/Rock to Motown Soul. Artists include 7th heaven, The Handsome Devils, and Ultimate Concept. If you prefer the theatre, the Skyline Stage's 1500-seat theatre features musical and theatrical performances from Summer to Fall.
Let's Cruise
Whether you prefer the velocity of a speed boat, the luxury of a dinner cruise, or a tour on the tall ships, there are many ways to enjoy Dock Street during the summer months. Take your choice of more than ten sightseeing, dinner, and private charter cruises. Whatever the occasion, the vessels at Navy Pier show you the best Lake Michigan has to offer.
IMAX
Why see a movie at a regular theater when you can see it in IMAX. Sit back and relax in one of the comfortable 440 seats and enjoy the visual extravaganza. The 6-story flat movie screen shows both 2D and 3D movies. Action, thriller, horror, even romantic comedies are better in IMAX.
Shopping
Gifts, souvenirs, apparel, Oh My! The nearly 50 shops at Navy Pier are open all year round. Any specialty item you need can be found within the pier's 50 acre park. Bikes, shirts, sunglasses, customized license plates, key chains, and of course jewelry are all available in the Family Pavilion and along the Arcade.
Attractions
Float among the clouds in the new AeroBalloon. Don't worry about floating away though, the balloon is tethered to the ground and raised by an electrical winch. The 150 foot-high Ferris Wheel is well known beyond Chicago and is one of the best ways to view the city's skyline and lakefront. The virtual reality of Transporter FX can transport you to any place on earth and some places out of this world.
