The Bernstein Brief: NBA Finals Game 7 An Unlikely Treat

It may have taken all of Draymond Green's suspension, Andrew Bogut's injury, Stephen Curry at something other than his preternatural best and an elbow to the head of Kevin Love that only served to wake everyone up to the fact that he was an ill-fitting, superfluous piece, but this desultory exchange of blowouts in the NBA Finals has one last installment.
Cavaliers at Warriors in Game 7 on Sunday night for the title. The television audience will be back for the conclusion of what can only be described as a bizarre two weeks, with only one game so far having a single fourth-quarter lead change. Every game has been decided by at least 11 points, and the 63-point swing between Game 2 and Game 3 was something heretofore unseen.
Taking turns running each other out of the gym has brought it all back to Oakland and Oracle Arena, the Warriors record-setting 73-win season earning them their home floor for a last stand against a newly empowered LeBron James.
It's one last chance for a tightly contested game, one with late sequences of strategy and greatness befitting the size of the stage and the talent involved. One can hope.
