The Bernstein Brief: Bulls Raise More Questions, Yet Again

(CBS) Though a matchup with the now-undermanned Cavaliers still looms, it's hard to get too excited over a Bulls team that can go so soft.
This isn't what an NBA champion looks like. They can still win the moribund Eastern Conference, but to what end?
"They just played harder than we did," Jimmy Butler said of the second straight loss to the lowly Bucks, raising the critical questions of "Why?" and "How is that either humanly possible or in any way acceptable for a team with real aspirations?"
Pau Gasol -- a two-time champion who knows what winners look like -- said, "Team inconsistency is not a good sign. We didn't play with enough of a sense of urgency and desire."
Again, why not?
