Thayer: Lions Are 'A Little Cheap'
(WBBM) Bears Pro Bowl defensive tackle Henry Melton did his best to stir the pot between the Bears and Lions this week, calling Detroit a dirty team.
"They've always been a dirty team since I've been here," Melton said. "I don't like them. They're going to be looking for cheap shots and all that mess, just have to hold our composure and play the game we know."

Today, Bears radio analyst Tom Thayer backed up Melton's comments.
"Yeah, they're a little dirty, a little cheap," Thayer told WBBM Newsradio's Dave Kerner. "Henry has opened his mouth, now he's gotta go out there and back up those words. I like it a little bit. I like a little bit of the pressure he's not only putting on himself, but the pressure to perform. He's been elected to a Pro Bowl for the first time. Now, he's going to have the spotlight on him a little bit. He's going to have to go out there and perform like a Pro Bowl player, not a person earlier in the season hoping to make a Pro Bowl."
