That'll Be $150, Ms. Cavallari: Evanston Police To Cutler's Speeding Wife
(CBS) – Hopefully, it's not any kind of bad omen: The wife of Bears quarterback Jay Cutler got a speeding ticket Friday in Evanston and had to fork over $150 because of a technicality.
Evanston Police confirm Kristin Cavallari was pulled over Friday morning by an officer. Because she has a California driver's license, she was obligated to follow the officer to a police station to pay a $150 bond.
Illinois and California do not have a reciprocal driver's-license agreement.
Cavallari, who has a residence in California, paid her ticket and was on her way. The stop generated media attention, and even Cavallari tweeted about the incident.
