Thanksgiving Weekend One Of Busiest Times For Christmas Tree Shopping
WOODSTOCK, Ill. (WBBM) - After the turkey and the shopping comes the Christmas tree. Farms in McHenry County say this is one of their busiest weekends.
At Oney's Tree Farm near Woodstock, families have about 50 acres from which to choose the centerpiece of their Christmas decorating.
Dawn Peterson says despite the economic slowdown, they're still expecting to sell about 1,200 trees between now and Dec. 11 when they close up shop for the season.
